If you walls have cavities, then they can be insulated by having insulating foam injected into the cavity. This is the least expensive way of insulating walls but older houses will have solid walls without cavities, so this method can't be used.
The picture on the right shows a wall with a cavity. If, unlike here, your wall contains ends of bricks, then it is unlikely to have a cavity. |
